#5 Flockmen Game ‘Flock Fight’

Aim: To build the challenge (on the card) before your opponent, with the highest value Flockmen, thereby winning the game.

Number of players: 2 for 32 pieces. If you want to play with 4, buy two sticker sets and use 64 pieces.

What you’ll need:

  • 32 Flockmen
  • The custom sticker set for the game, available in our store
  • Game challenge cards (free PDF download)
  • A standard six-sided dice

Before you begin:

  • Stick all the stickers from the custom game set onto the 32 Flockmen. There will be three ‘jokers’ with x 2, x 3, x 4 on them. If you win a joker, it will multiple your final score by that amount. The other cards have numerical values ranging from 100 to 10.
  • Print the challenge cards (laminate if you want them to last), shuffle, and place in fanned out face down.

Deciding which challenge you’ll play:

  • Take all 32 Flockmen game pieces and place them face down in 4 rows of 8 creating ‘The Flock’.
  • Each player takes a turn to roll a dice once. The person with the highest score chooses the challenge card from the fanned out selection.
  • Once the challenge card is chosen, put it somewhere visible and put away the rest.

How to play:

  1. Both players pick up a Flockmen from the centre and hold it up so they can see the number on the back. The person with the highest number gets to keep the Flockman they chose and start building, the other has to put it back facing down again so its number is hidden.
  2. Thus it becomes a game of memory to remember where the high and low Flockmen are in the ‘flock’.
  3. Keep picking up Flockmen and dueling for a winner. As you win a Flockman, you can start to build the challenge on the card.
  4. There are 2 larrikins. They are powerful, but have a zero value. If you pick up a larrikin, you automatically win the duel (even if your opponent has 100), and you can either play it straight away or hold it to play in a few turns time.
  5. When you play the larrikin, you choose a high-value Flockman from your opponent’s tower structure (ie. 80 or 100) and replace it with the larrikin (worth zero). To do this, you have to successfully extract the chosen Flockman without the tower falling AND replace it with the larrikin keeping it intact. If it remains intact, you can keep your prize, if it falls you have to keep the larrikin and give the high-value piece back.
  6. The winner is the first person to finish building their challenge. Once they have finished, both opponents add up the score of all the Flockmen in their tower. The person with the highest score wins.
